Images and data
Charts, cards and illustrations are produced in-house from published market data. They are illustrative: they are not photographs of the events described. Market data is published as we receive it and may be delayed.
Not investment advice
Nothing we publish is investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or asset. We write about markets; we do not manage anyone’s money. Do your own research, and consider taking independent professional advice.
These are the rules our newsroom follows. They are deliberately short, because they are meant to be checkable rather than impressive.
Sourcing
Every article is written from a specific published source: a company filing, an exchange announcement, a central-bank statement, an earnings release, or a named news wire. Where we quote a figure, that figure comes from the source the story is based on. When a story rests on a single number, we check it against a second market-data provider before publishing.
Automation and AI
Our monitoring, drafting and publishing pipeline is automated and AI-assisted (see about us). We disclose this because readers are entitled to know how their news was produced. Automation changes how fast we can work; it does not change the standard — a story still has to be supported by its source to be published.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it, and we say so. Factual errors are corrected in the article. Where a correction changes the substance of a story, we add a dated note. Report an error through our contact page and include the URL.
Independence and advertising
Advertising is served separately from editorial content and is never written to look like our journalism. Advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners have no input into what we cover or how we cover it. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on our affiliate & advertising disclosure page.
