We correct mistakes promptly and in the open. When a factual error is found we amend the article and add a dated note describing what changed and why.
Corrections that change the substance of a story are flagged at the top of the article. Minor typographical fixes are made silently.
To report an error, use the contact form and include the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. We aim to review every report within one business day.
Where a story relies on a single source or a figure that later proves unreliable, we say so in the correction note rather than deleting the article.
