WASHINGTON — Republican Representative Nancy Mace dropped a political bombshell Thursday, revealing that the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files she reviewed include names of current and former presidents and prime ministers from both sides of the political aisle — and immediately called for the resignations of Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.

In a stunning interview with Piers Morgan, Mace described the contents of the full, unredacted files as “shocking” and confirmed the list crosses international borders and party lines. “This isn’t just about Americans,” Mace told Morgan. “We’re talking about global leaders.”

The South Carolina congresswoman, who has emerged as a leading Republican voice demanding Epstein transparency, did not name specific individuals but emphasized the bipartisan nature of the allegations. The disclosure confirms earlier hints from lawmakers who reviewed unredacted documents at the Justice Department this week.

‘They Need to Go’

Mace didn’t mince words about who she holds responsible for what she calls a “cover-up.”

“Pam Bondi and Kash Patel must resign,” Mace declared, citing their failure to release the complete files and their alleged attempts to protect powerful figures. “They’ve had months. They’ve had the files. And they’ve chosen to protect the elite instead of the victims.”

The call adds explosive momentum to growing criticism of the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files. During a fiery House Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Bondi refused to apologize to Epstein survivors present in the room, called ranking Democrat Jamie Raskin a “washed-up loser lawyer,” and pivoted to discussing the stock market when pressed on child trafficking allegations.

Democracy Defenders Fund filed a complaint Friday alleging Bondi, Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche have “impermissibly” narrowed document releases, noting their own communications are mysteriously absent from the 3 million pages disclosed despite their central role in the process.

The Global Implications

Mace’s revelation that foreign heads of state appear in the files raises unprecedented diplomatic stakes. The congresswoman has previously supported subpoenaing Bill Gates and called for Prince Andrew to testify before Congress. Her suggestion that sitting world leaders may be implicated transforms the Epstein case from a domestic scandal into an international crisis.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) revealed earlier this week they had read unredacted names at DOJ, with Khanna later reading six previously redacted names on the House floor. Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-Pa.) confirmed she saw names of “foreign leaders” and “former presidents” in her review.

The files reportedly include flight logs, financial records, and communications spanning Epstein’s decades-long operation of a global sex trafficking ring that victimized hundreds of minors.

The Cover-Up Allegations

Mace’s resignation demand centers on what she calls deliberate obstruction. The timeline is damning:

  • May 2024: Bondi reportedly told President Trump he appeared in the Epstein files, launching what Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon calls “this whole cover-up”
  • July 2024: Bondi publicly claimed a “client list” sat on her desk; DOJ later said no such list existed
  • January 2025: Ghislaine Maxwell received a private visit from Trump’s former personal attorney Todd Blanche (now Deputy AG) before being transferred to a minimum-security prison
  • February 2025: Maxwell testified she would only cooperate if granted a presidential pardon

“America has a chance right now to show the world that there is one rule of law here,” Mace said. “There is not an Epstein elite that’s gonna get away with literally committing maybe murder, child rape, human trafficking.”

Political Fallout

The resignation calls create a nightmare scenario for the Trump administration. Bondi and Patel are Trump loyalists installed specifically to dismantle what the President called the “weaponized” DOJ. Their removal would be a stunning admission of failure.

Yet Mace, a Trump supporter, is not backing down. “I don’t care how powerful, how rich, how famous someone is,” she posted Tuesday. “Justice WILL BE SERVED.”

With lawmakers from both parties now confirming the files contain names of global elites — and with survivors in Wednesday’s hearing unanimously indicating they have zero confidence in DOJ leadership — the pressure on Bondi and Patel has reached critical mass.

The question is no longer whether heads will roll, but whose.

Key Developments:

  • Mace confirms unredacted files include presidents and prime ministers
  • Calls for Bondi and Patel resignation intensify
  • Ghislaine Maxwell offers testimony in exchange for presidential pardon
  • Survivors demand full transparency, express no confidence in DOJ
  • International diplomatic crisis looms as foreign leaders implicated
